Take your chance and become part of Erasmus+ land

Hej, remember me? I am Salome a European voluntary service volunteer working in a youth center in Lomma municipality /KEKS Sweden!

The first weekend of Sweet November, rainy weather outside and its time to have a cup of tea and tell you about my summer and Autumn impressions. I spent all my summer vacation in Sweden, that was an amazing summer, travelled all around the Skåne region for free, break stereotypes and found out that Swedish people are not so ‘cold’ in communication as it seems. I visited local events, festivals and enjoyed it. Explored Vikings capital and nearby cities. All this wonderful journey with me was my best friend Google Map 🙂

On September 13 I was one of the first travelers on the newly opened first direct flight from neighbor Copenhagen to Kutaisi (Georgia) and spent the weekend with my family and friends.

EVS mid term training with the Swedish Agency For Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) took place in Stockholm, where I met new EVS and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers from different countries. We had intensive 3 days and discussed learning outcomes and working methods of our voluntary life. I made a presentation of my duties and result, received the highest verbal grade from MUCF. This gave me motivation to be more productive in my working place. After mid term training I had interesting and useful meeting in the youth leader education in Hvilan Folk school, we discussed differences between Swedish and international youth work and introduced Erasmus+ and ESC opportunities to the youth workers. I was proud when they contacted me for future consultation.

I think I am a lucky person, because I had the honor to be a speaker in KEKS annual conference in Gothenburg, which gathers representatives of different municipalities in the field of youth. I did a presentation of international youth work, short summary of the EVS project that I made during the year in Lomma, opportunities of Erasmus+ and ESC for municipalities. Attending this conference gave me huge experience and knowledge.

Dear readers, Erasmus world is the best possibility to feel how amazing life is. Take your chance and become part of this wonder Erasmus+ land.
