Angered is located in northeast Gothenburg and approximately 52,000 people live from more than 100 different countries. There are million-program areas, small towns, rural areas and magnificent scenery. In the city of Gothenburg Angered, there is in total 8 meeting places for children and young people in the district. The youth centers are for example regular youth centers in different sizes, a big culture house, only-girls youth center GUTS and GIA (Gays in Angered) a meeting place for LGBT+ young people. Here are some youth centers presented;
Gårdsten youth centre is a meeting place for young people between 13 and 18 years old. Here works five youth leaders who together with young people build and run a business where everyone can feel comfortable and feel safe. Our visitors have decided that they want to have dance, DJ, music recording, karaoke, café, movie room, playstation, ping-pong, cozy rooms and more at the youth center. All of this we are working on implementing together with the young people in the fall of 2017.
KulturATOM is located in Angered Centrum. We are a living cultural house and a meeting place for young people from 13 years old. You will find us in the same building as the Blue Place and Angeredsgymnasiet. Our activities include street dance, popping, freestyle and break, DJ: ing, theater, music recording in the studio and rehearsal activities. You can also make your own arrangements in cooperation with us in our premises. We work based on young people’s participation and influence.
Lövgärdet Youth house is an open meeting place for young people between 13 and 18 years old. Here you can meet friends, play games and listen to music. You come and go as you please. In order for you to be safe and fun, we work to ensure that the youth yard is free from bullying, drugs and other crime.
GUTS offers girls from 13 years of age a meeting place. At GUTS, girls can participate in conversation groups, dance groups, organize themed evenings, get homework help, get support talks or just relax in a pleasant environment. Everything is voluntary and free. GUTS is located at the Angeredsgymnasiets premises downstairs at the bath and ice hall.
Gays in Angered is a organisation that has been in existence for 3 years. We are targeting lgbt people between the agesof 13-30 and related to Angered. We who started the association were lgbt-people in Angered who were tired of not having a safe meeting place to go to, so we started our own. At our first meeting we were three people and today we have almost 50 members related to Angered. On average, about 15 people visit our hits each week. Membership is secret and means you can be anonymous outward. When and where we have our meetings, you only know who are concerned. We want to create a space where LGBT people experience what it’s like to be the norm for a while. A safe venue to get used to talking about how we can organize our norm breaking lives and re-new our energy take place in society. We hope to be a place where differences in Lgbtq+ identities is possible and we hope to offer opportunities for community and sibling-ship beyond gender identities / expression, age, color, religion, socioeconomic background, sexuality and functionality.

Kamratledarutbildning /Comrades training in Gothenburg (K.L.U.B)
The comrades training is primarily aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 19 and last for a year. The training consist of leadership training, human rights education, first aid training and more.
• The FUTURE LEADERS are among us! These young people must be identified, trained and supported. The project is largely promoting and preventional youth work, which strengthens both the young, but also benefits the entire community.
• The idea is based on the fact that older youth in the district should be role models for young children and peers.
• With education, support and guidance from the youth workers, many young people can do a good job as companions in both existing youth activities and also in independent activities.
