Membership and members

Membership

Membership in ICY is open to:
- European municipality departments responsible for youth work
- Networks of such departments

“European” is here understood as Council of Europe member countries.
“Department” means any kind of unit within a municipality that answer to a political level on questions regarding youth work, regardless of its name or formal position in the municipality concerned. The department can carry out youth work by itself and/or support youth work carried out by NGO’s or groups of young people.
“Networks” is here understood as a group of departments from different cities/municipalities with a formal agreement on cooperation but it does not have to be a legal body.
Having departments as members also means that the membership is not personal.

As member the organizations must:

- Stand behind the document “Common grounds and intentions for InterCityYouth”.
- Pay the annual registration fee of 500 euro.
