The ICY Erasmus+ Strategic partnership Work group had their last meeting on Feb 15-17 in Antwerp. This time the group were developing indicators for quality youth work on “Inclusion of marginalized groups of youth”. The two meetings before had the aim of developing indicators for “Youth participation” and “Gender equality”.
The meeting started with a full day of introduction and setting a common ground for the work ahead by Mr Jonas Agdur, Chairman of InterCity Youth and the network KEKS, Sweden. The meeting started by agreeing on a definition of “marginalised”. The group also needed to define which groups of young people is meant by marginalized. The definition of young people with fewer opportunities from SALTO - EU commission, was used. The work group also underlined a few groups that should be paid extra attention to such as; Hikikomori, Youth in danger of radicalization and Youth with gender identities issues such as trans sexuality.
The last meeting on indicators will be focusing on “Non-formal learning”.
